Dougherty Work Highlights:

The Kardon Building, on the Temple University Campus, called upon our experience in working on large residential projects and featured a complete building renovation: New, full electrical service, installation of a state of the art fire alarm system, an emergency generator system, and a new telecommunications infrastructure.

 
     
Thomas Jefferson University,
Barringer and Orlowitz Buildings

For these two residence halls, Dougherty called upon its strengths to provide installation of new fire alarm and remote electric metering systems. We also renovated apartments with new kitchens and bathrooms.

 
     
Friends Central School: Science, Math, and Technology Center
A new construction project, Dougherty has been on campus since the summer of 2002 working on this center which will feature labs, a multimedia auditorium, and classrooms. Amongst other tasks, we are installing a new power distribution system, a new fire alarm system, an inter-campus raceway electrical/ telecommunications /fire system, and a new voice/data cable tray system.

 
     

University Crossing
Work on University Crossings (the old Conrail building), at 32nd & Market Streets, featured a complete, 250-room building renovation: New, full electrical service, installation of a state of the art fire alarm system, an emergency generator system, and a new telecommunications infrastructure.

 

   

Residence Inn by Marriott
A project currently under construction, we are in the midst of a complete electrical building renovation of the Residence Inn by Marriott, neighboring Philadelphia's famous City Hall. Dougherty is providing: New, full electrical service; Installation of a state of the art fire alarm system; Installation of an emergency generator system; Installation of a new Telecommunications infrastructure.

 

 
Warwick Hotel & Towers
With the Warwick Hotel and Towers, located in the historic Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia, the Dougherty team proved that no job is too big, no task beyond our scope of expertise. This 22-story, 580-room building was completely renovated: Installation and implementation of a new electrical service, an emergency generator system, and a state of the art fire alarm system. Dougherty also did considerable and substantial work on the hotel’s elevator systems.
Borders Bookstore
Dougherty was on the job to help with Borders' relocation to the corner of Broad & Chestnut streets. Included in the work performed were a complete electrical fit-out consisting of new
service and distribution, lighting, and a new fire alarm system for the historic building.

National Medical Imaging is a renovation involving the installation of a new MRI scanner with supporting office areas and equipment rooms. This project includes the total renovation of the electrical service to 400 amp and emergency back-up power plants to ensure continuous power for the scanner magnet. The supporting equipment for the scanner will be interconnected with new conduit and wall duct. Dougherty Electric, through careful coordination with manufactures requirements, has ensured seamless project completion despite a demanding project schedule.
 
1422 Chestnut Street 
Dougherty Electric helped in converting this building into a Philadelphia charter high school for electrical and telecommunications
training for upwards of 450 students. Amongst the work completed was the
installation of a new fire alarm system and an upgrade to the electrical service. 
 
The Victory Building
We are extremely proud to be part of this project in which will include a complete building renovation to 250 luxury apartments. Dougherty will provide: New, full electrical service, installation of a state of the art fire alarm system, an emergency generator system, and a new telecommunications infrastructure.
 
The Elmira Jeffries project involves the conversion of a nursing home into 65 apartments primarily for Temple University students. Our scope of work includes installing new fire alarm and telecommunications systems. 
 
For Hoyle, Morris, and Kerr our team completed a new electrical retrofit for a 2-floor office renovation at Broad and Chestnut Streets. Coincidentally, these offices are located in the same building as the new Borders Bookstore that we recently completed.
 
Olive Garden
Located on the 1300 block of Chestnut Street in downtown Philadelphia, this project entailed the conversion of the 1st floor of the Avenue of the Arts building into an Olive Garden restaurant. Inside, we provided an entire new electrical system and a new fire alarm system.
 
The University of the Arts project includes the addition of two new 45-ton rooftop cooling units and associated duct work and temperature controls. This project will include a new power distribution board tied into the building's existing high voltage service and extending new conduit feeders to the rooftop units. During the planning stages Dougherty Electric has set up and implemented a CPM schedule in order to
meet the customers tight project schedule
 
Manayunk Apartments 
This exciting new construction project consists of a complete electrical fit-out to a 7 -story apartment building overlooking the Schuylkill River on famous Main Street in Manayunk. 
 
Community Academy 
Fit-out of old Kraft Foods warehouse at K & Erie in the Northeast section of Philadelphia into a 1200 Student Charter School. The work Dougherty is undertaking includes new electrical service & distribution, lighting, branch wiring, and the installation of a fire alarm system.
